The Guatemalan Altiplano, meaning ‘plateau’ in Spanish, is known for majestic mountains and scattered volcanoes. The FECCEG cooperative also calls this area home. The co-op is made up of nearly 2,000 small farms throughout the region and that diversity has produced a coffee with a lively set of sensory notes. I decided on a medium-dark roast level for this coffee in order to calm down some of these ‘jumpy’ notes and add some stability. What that has left us with, is a smooth and sweet coffee with just enough citrus and spice to keep us on our toes. Take a trip to the plateau and give Altiplano a try today!!
